Continued Lesson Construction
  • Ongoing throughout 04-05 School Year: Participate in The Missing Link Educators Online Learning Community, delivered through Blackboard®.
   
Collaboratively plan, teach and evaluate a minimum of two inquiry-based units for your students.
  • Collaborate with the library media specialist and the technology specialist to incorporate information literacy standards and benchmarks
  • Teach one unit in the fall, one in the spring
  • Include in your grading rubric an item that evaluates your students on the research process –resulting in at least 10% of the students’ final grade for the unit for demonstration of information literacy
 
Share what you learn.
  • Post unit plans Online for access by other educators in the district and state
  • Mentor another staff member
  • Present at a school technology or staff meeting
 
Present your inquiry-based lessons and share student projects with other project participants - evaluate impact of program.
 
Participate in follow-up sessions and user groups in subsequent years.
